Tax Agency Registration

This site contains instructions about how to register for each tax agency when required by the state:

  • Paid family and medical leave (PFML)
  • State withholding
  • State unemployment insurance (SUI)

All employers are required to register and provide Paychex with agency ID numbers, it is especially important for Taxpay® clients. Most agencies won’t allow Paychex to file returns on your behalf without your agency ID.
